Xaymara Colón-González

Ms. Colón-González is a defense attorney with a wealth of experience in insurance law, spanning over 10 years. Ms. Colón-González’ valuable knowledge in this specialized area of the law helps her to better understand the needs of her clients and devise clever legal strategies. 

In her day-to-day practice in and out of court, Ms. Colón-González handles complex insurance matters such as business income losses, coverage disputes under non-standard policy forms, and matters involving reinsurance. 

Insurers also rely on Ms. Colón-González to advise and represent them regarding issues concerning property, general liability, umbrella, crime, directors & officers, and professional liability insurance policies, among others.

Additionally, her continued commitment to professional development led her to obtain the prestigious Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Reinsurance designations. She is also a licensed insurance adjuster.

Ms. Colón-González is a Junior Partner at SCVR. She joined the firm in 2018 after working at a multinational insurance company as a claims adjuster for several years, and at other law firms whose practice was focused on insurance law.
